Hey, I have a question that I could use your help with. And no this isn't some abortion ad

"What is the meaning of life?"

You may take as long as you would like to get back to me with an answer, and your answer may be as long as you like. The only thing that will be changed from anyone's answer is language as long as the answer is serious. And for purposes of keeping this valid, "serious" will have a very broad definition. The only thing I ask is that you take a couple minutes to really reflect on this, clear your head, and use all the knowledge you have at your disposal to answer this question (as current events in one's life could alter a person's answer to this question and I would like the answer to stem from as many events that have been experienced as possible).

Please send your response to "projectlife2009@live.com" (remove the quotation marks). I would like you to include as much of your name as you would like. This could be a full name, first name, nickname, whatever you would like. If this is not included, you will be labeled as Anonymous.

If you would like to know what this is all about, keep reading. I just ask that you at least send me a response, as I am looking for as large of a response as possible. Forward this to your friends if you would like It would be VERY helpful.

This is Brandon Knight. And no, this is not a spam. A lot of you probably remember me, others might have to think for a second. Well, it is currently 1:22 am on January 2nd, 2009; and I have been doing some thinking tonight, which brought me to this:

"Project: Life 2009" is something I will be undertaking of my own afford over the next year. It is a simple project really. It involves a survey of a single question. "What is the meaning of life?" Now, let me explain...

I was contemplating this very question tonight. I think a lot... it's a habit of mine. Those of you who know me remotely well will agree with this and look at this as being something stereotypically I would do. But it was tonight, while searching over the net for quotes on life I came to this conclusion: No one may really know the meaning of life, but what makes a wise man's or a celebrity's idea of life any better than ours? Or worse? That's when I realized that nothing makes one person's idea of life any better or worse than another's. But if any of you are like me... human... then you may once or twice have looked for another's insight in search of the answer to that ultimate question, that monolith of a conundrum.

In detail, I am beginning what I call "Project: Life 2009" is search of as many answers to the meaning of life as I can find. Many of us have wondered if there may indeed be a single answer. Who knows? Maybe there is. With your answers (though no one may have THE answer) we will find as many as possible. I will document them and keep them in a database. Periodically throughout the year I will post your latest responses, and eventually on a website once I can arrange for that. At the end of the year, I hope to have answers to the question, from the kings to the peasants, from the adults to the children, in search of the meaning of life through every view of the world I can collect. And maybe, hopefully, the answers that I receive from this project will help someone out there in their search for insight, their search for truth

...their search for the meaning of life.
